Job Title: Welder

Overview: We are accepting applications for a ticketed welder with 5+ years experience as a Journeyman welder to run one of our mobile rigs. Primary duties will be heavy equipment truck and trailer repair in the field, along with shop welding as required. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7AM-5:30PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications
  • Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal components
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures by welding components together
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure welded parts meet company standards
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues welding & mechanical equipment
  • Perform Stick (SMAW), Flux-core (FCAW), Mig (GMAW), and carbon arc gouging

Qualifications:

  • Ticketed Red Seal Journeyman welder with 5+ years experience as Journeyman welder
  • Expertise in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW welding procedures
  • Competent and experienced with carbon arc gouging
  • Experience with heavy equipment repair
  • Proficiency in reading and drawing blueprints for welding projects
  • Experience with overhead crane operation for moving heavy materials
  • Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Willing to work independently for long hours
  • Ability to drive in all conditions to remote locations including use of two-way radios
  • Local to the Edson area

Licence/Certifications:

  • Must be ticketed Red Seal Journeyman welder
  • Must have a Class 5 drivers license with clean drivers abstract
  • Must have first aid, H2S and CSO safety certificates
